VERSATILE AND ENJOYABLE

Fish is extremely versatile and works great for both everyday food and special occasions. Using Finnish farmed rainbow trout and whitefish, you can whip up fish soup, poached fish, grilled fish, gravlax, cold or warm smoked fish, fish balls, sushi – only your imagination is the limit. A spoonful of roe on top of your toast instantly lifts you above everyday life. Fish is also the best kind of fast food – just a few minutes in the pan and it’s ready!

HEALTHY

Fish is rich in protein, good omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D. Selenium, vitamin B12, iodine, potassium and phosphorus are also obtained from fish. According to the nutritional recommendations, it's recommended to eat fish at least twice a week, varying between different fish species.

 

The essential fatty acids in fish have been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Both farmed rainbow trout and whitefish bear the Finnish Heart Association's Heart Symbol .

HIGH QUALITY AND FRESH

Our fish is a safe and healthy food, the origin of which can be traced all the way back to the roe. At Brändö Lax, we are able to deliver fish gutted in the morning to our customers during the same day. Our fish grows close to the Finnish consumer, so it stays fresh and high quality.

 

We gut the fish by hand, and the fish passes through several pairs of hands during the process – thus, we are able to monitor the quality effectively. We also take care of the cold chain up to our customer. With the help of the HACCP-based self-monitoring plan in the processing facility, we ensure the food safety of the fish. Operations and hygiene are constantly developed in dialogue with, for example, the people responsible for cleaning the facility.
